At the Hero-Hunts Foundation, we wanted to make it possible for families of veterans and service members to experience a magical vacation. So – with the support of donors like you – we introduced our annual trip to Walt Disney World!
In 2025, you helped send four families to Walt Disney World. It’s safe to say that they had a magical time!
A Look Back at Our 2025 Walt Disney World Trip
Three of our four families took their 2025 Disney Trip with us in late October. With the parks decked out in their fall and Halloween best, the Disney magic did not disappoint.
On arrival day, families either hit the slides and attractions at Typhoon Lagoon or relaxed at the pool at our incredible resort – Art of Animation. Everyone was clearly excited for the week ahead and they couldn’t wait to explore!
The next morning, the Hero-Hunts team and all of the families met up at Chef Mickey’s for a delicious breakfast. They got to meet the “Fab 5” – Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Pluto – while getting to know one another.
Over the next couple of days, each family explored the parks and made magical memories at their own pace. But every time we saw a family, it was clear that they were truly embracing the magic of Disney and being together!
We also had a chance to enjoy a group lunch at the Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion. We were transported to a traditional Bavarian village and feasted on German fare, all while enjoying Polka music. Our group, including parents and children alike, danced on stage to the lively tunes. We won’t forget that moment anytime soon!
On the last day of the October trip, each family went hard from rope drop to fireworks. They made the most of their time and enjoyed every moment!
In November, one additional family headed to Walt Disney World for their trip through the Hero-Hunts Foundation. They experienced the magic of the holiday season in the parks while trying out tons of rides, meeting their favorite characters, and more.
The Importance of Our Disney Trips
But what is that makes these trips so special?
For many military families, finding the time and the resources to take a family vacation like this can be difficult. The trip to Walt Disney World gives them a chance to spend quality time together. While there, they create stronger bonds and memories that will last a lifetime.
Our trip also allows families to de-stress and relax. The moment you pass under the welcome arches, you’re transported to a whole new world. A world where everyday worries fade and everyone, no matter their age, gets to feel like a kid again.
