You Impact Veterans Through Our Annual Hunt
Our annual Shotgun Deer Hunt is open to all service members and veterans who have honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Our hunts help these brave men and women heal both physically and mentally by connecting them with a unique outdoor experience.
Because participants do not need prior hunting experience or gear to join us, your donations help provide gear, guns, access to land, and an experienced guide. Plus, if a hunter harvests a deer, Hero-Hunts covers all processing fees!
With your support, we hope to expand our Hunt each year and add more Hunts to the calendar so we can include more American heroes.
You Help Military Families Make Magical Memories
Another way your donations directly impact veterans and service members is through our annual trips to Walt Disney World.
Each year, we take several military families on an all-expenses-paid vacation that includes park tickets, lodging, meals, travel, and more. Your donations go directly toward covering these expenses and ensuring each family has a magical time.
For most of these families, this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip. It’s also a chance to bond and make memories together – a rare opportunity for many experiencing military life. And it’s you who makes this possible!
You Show Your Gratitude to American Heroes
Your support also has a direct impact on veterans, service members, and their families through several acts of kindness. In the past, your donations have provided turkeys at Thanksgiving, holiday gifts at Christmas, and school supplies at the beginning of the school year.
Most notably, you impact veterans and military members during our annual Fill-Your-Tank Day at Dover Air Force Base. On this day, we cover the bill for every vehicle that visits the gas station – in 2025, this totaled 563 tanks of gas and $18,665.98 in support!
Your gifts to the Hero-Hunts Foundation expand our ability to show our gratitude to our American heroes through these acts of kindness.
You Impact Veterans in the Community
Beyond the services and programs that the Hero-Hunts Foundation provides, we make donations to other local organizations that impact veterans and service members.
Recently, this has included a donation to the Dover First Sergeants Council for their Operation Warm Heart. We also regularly support our area DAV!
