A Look Back at Our First-Ever Outdoorsman Expo

On March 21, hundreds of guests joined the Hero-Hunts Foundation at Harvest Ridge Winery for the first-ever Hero-Hunts Outdoorsman Expo!

Here’s a look back on this exciting event that raised critical funds for area veterans and service members.

On March 21, the Hero-Hunts Foundation hosted our first-ever Hero-Hunts Outdoorsman Expo at Harvest Ridge Winery.

Hundreds of guests joined us for a day filled with all things outdoorsy, including live demonstrations, exciting raffle prizes, and a variety of vendors. Here’s a look back at this year’s Outdoorsman Expo!

2026 Expo Raises Funds for Veterans & Service Members

The highlight of the day was our raffle and silent auction, which included items such as a crossbow, a hunting blind, and gift packages from Delaware Wildlands and The Land Group. Guests had the opportunity to bid on these goods and experiences, with all proceeds benefiting local veterans and service members through the Hero-Hunts Foundation.

Other popular moments included our live demonstrations.

We hosted an Instructional Fly Casting Class with Dan Wattras at the winery’s pond throughout the day, where guests had the chance to learn or perfect their fly fishing skills. And our four-legged friends put on two big shows – a Protection Dog Demonstration and a Bird Dog Demonstration!

This year’s Outdoorsman Expo also featured several vendors. Guests shopped a variety of goods, from hunting and fishing gear to handmade, outdoors-themed toys and jewelry. They also had the opportunity to speak to a variety of local organizations as well as learn more about the Hero-Hunts mission.

In all, our 2026 Outdoorsman Expo raised $4,500 for our American Heroes! These funds will go towards programs that provide hunting and outdoor experiences to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Thank You to Our Outdoorsman Expo Sponsors & Supporters!

We also want to thank the sponsors who made this event possible, including Dropout Blind, White Tails Unlimited Delaware Chapter, and Delaware Wildlands, as well as our vendors and those who led various demonstrations.
