How Hero-Hunts Supports U.S Veterans & Service Members
Here at the Hero-Hunts Foundation, we aim to show our gratitude and appreciation for veterans and members of the U.S. armed forces through various programs.
Our annual Hunt connects veterans and service members with the outdoors, giving them the opportunity to heal through nature. Each year, we take military families on an all-expenses-paid vacation to Walt Disney World to help them bond and spend time together amid the busyness of military life. We also host several events like Fill-Your-Tank Day and support community organizations – like Dover First Sergeants – that further help American heroes.

3. Attend an Event
Who says helping American heroes can’t also be fun?
Join us at Harvest Ridge Winery for one of our fundraising events throughout the year, including:
- Hero-Hunts Outdoorsman Expo – This free event, hosted at the winery’s Delaware location, is perfect for hunters, fishermen, hikers, campers…anyone who loves the outdoors! Join us on March 21, 2026, for a day filled with vendors, live demonstrations, and exciting silent auction items benefiting the Hero-Hunts mission.
- Food Truck Competition – This annual festival is fun for the whole family. Experience over 30 food trucks, a family zone, delicious drinks, live music, and more across three exciting days – all supporting veterans and service members through Hero-Hunts and the DAV! This year’s Food Truck 2026 will take place April 17 – 19.
4. Partner with Us
Several individuals and businesses partner with us throughout the year. We have several opportunities available, including event and auction sponsors as well as landowners to host our annual Hunts.
